Her full-time apprenticeship at The Looking Glass Studio (1997-2000)
was the stepping stone to her life’s journey as a professional artist.
“The old cobblestone studio was an environment where I was able to
explore both traditional and modern design in stained and fused glass.
I have transferred many of these techniques into my paintings”.
Nicole’s paintings are contemporary in theme – what she describes as
‘narrative-folk’ – similar to that of a portrait or an element of an
Aesop’s fable. Her canvasses display luminous blends of colour and
textures, and are enriched by an array of dots and lines. Acrylics are
her medium of choice, due to the range of colours available, their
versatility and the ease in cleaning her brushes and tools.
Ms. Beaumont’s home studio is located in Centretown, and is open to the public during the Centretown Art Tour (Catwalk), or by appointment. Her paintings are suitable as home and office decor. Commissions are also available for anniversaries, birthdays and other special occasions.
